Kroepies started small, selling a few stuffed animals. We quickly realized how special it is that a stuffed animal can mean so much to a child – a companion, a comfort, a piece of childhood nostalgia.

The name Kroepies comes from my children, my nephew and niece. They always give each other "kroepies"—their own word for stuffed animals. In Frisian, "oankrûpe" means to cuddle. How wonderful is it that that very word now forms the basis for a place where secondhand stuffed animals and cuddle cloths find a new home?

We select each plush toy with love and care, so children (and parents) can find that special something. Plush toys that don't end up in our online store are donated to a good cause, so even more children can enjoy a plush toy.
